My name is Laurie Rubinetti and I have been a graphic designer since 1985. After attending the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art in the early 1980's, I began my design career at a small book publisher. Following that I worked as a Junior Designer in the corporate art
department at Bellcore. When my first child was one, I started working part-time for Silver Burdett Ginn, an extremely good company for working mothers. In the late 1990's I joined the marketing department at Pearson Learning Group; an educational publisher. During this time I had also done freelance work for pharmaceuticals, ad agencies, publishers and design studios. I started working mostly from home in January, 2007.
"Lola" was nickname while spending my teenage summers as a counselor at beautiful Camp Speers-Eljabar in Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania. Those were formative times. Hence...LOLA DESIGN!
I LOVE design and have never grown tired of working in this ever-changing field! I try to keep my skills up to date by continually getting technical training, most recently in web design, Flash, and ActionScript.
Free time is spent in the garden, walking my crazy dog Sofie and trying to avoid housework and cooking.
The design software I use includes Quark, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver. Please click to see my resume for more details.
